Some new MOPS and lil' MOPPETS!

Our first MOPS meeting for the 08-09 year was on Wed. Sept 10th. We have had so much fun preparing for this meeting, especially with the "Carnival" theme! The Moms first dropped their kiddos off in MOPPETS, where the kids were met by a clown making balloon animals. MOPPETS is divided into 5 different classes this year:
Baby Bears-infants
Toddlin' Tigers-1's
Lil' Lions-2's
Monkey 3's
Preschool Ponies
During the meeting the kids enjoyed a bible lesson ("I learn to Respect God"), craft time (frogs), music time, snacks, and outdoor play. Thank You so much to our WONDERFUL volunteers for making MOPPETS possible and Cristy H. for jumping in to do music time. Also, thank you to East Union Church for your support and allowing us to use your facilities.
After the Moms dropped off the kids, they headed to the Life Center and "picked" a duck out of a bucket to see which table they will be at for the year. Its so neat to see where all the moms will end up b/c its totally up to God and His Plan!!

Our Meeting Agenda was something like this:
Michelle opened us with Prayer
Fun Ice Breaker, then Breakfast with Winning Table getting to eat first
Paula-Playdates; Michelle-Birthdays
Joy-explaining some details of the year and we watched a video from the movie "Parenthood"
Joy-fun Ice Breaker "Popcorn" where Moms could mingle and answer a series of questions
Tonya-Gave a Wonderful, Inspirational "Talk" about how each of us are Special and challenged us to seek God's Purpose for us at our tables and in MOPS, in general.

We hope that all the Moms left feeling refreshed and encouraged. We loved seeing all the new moms and, of course, welcoming back our returning Moms!
